Program Overviews

Developmental Kindergarten:

This program was developed by Butterhill as a transitional program between pre-school and kindergarten for children  who need more time to mature. Children work on kindergarten skills but at a pace appropriate  for their development. The curriculum includes  learning stations with cooperative games for language, pre-reading, and pre-math skills.  Gross and fine motor skills are refined.  Circle time includes calendar, weather, pledge and discussion on the program for the day. Lauguagae Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies  are incorporated in the program. The children study different countries on a monthly basis.  The children are made ready to  enter kindergarten and future school years with the confidence and maturety to better succeed. The program is a half-day program.
